The club did a short notice food drive for NeighborWorks and Eat Smart Idaho, these two organizations work together to provide food and other needed items to families throughout Idaho. They also participate in providing meals in public parks to children during the summer.
NeighborWorks-As a congressionally chartered and funded nonpartisan nonprofit, we support organizations that provide communities with affordable housing, financial counseling and coaching, training, and resident engagement and collaboration in the areas of health, employment and education.
Eat Smart Idaho-Eat Smart Idaho provides nutrition and physical activity education for limited-resource Idahoans. Our programs help adults and families learn the basics of:
Increased levels of physical activity
Healthy eating
Smart shopping
Food safety
Quick meal preparation
Management of limited grocery dollars
